I am sooooooooo gonna try this recipe. It sounds amazingly delicious. Merry Christmas and isn't it fun to get caught up in the spirit? XO, Delilah Your recipe for Almond Butter Sticks is identical to one I got from a friend many years ago, with only 1 exception--hers has 4 1/2 teaspoons of almond extract rather than 4 teaspoons. I have had trouble with this recipe through the years. The main problem I have is that the cookie sticks have a tendency to spread and flatten as they bake. Do you ever have this happen to you? If so, how do you remedy it? Just this morning I tried the recipe after having not used it for a long time. When the first batch came out of the oven I was sadly disappointed. Then I decided to try something--I put the remaining unbaked cookie sticks in the fridge until they were cold and firm. When I baked these sticks they turned out much better than the first ones. (Not perfect, mind you, but better.) Please tell me if you have any secrets for success. Thanks! Connie
